Hi! I’m Ali, and I’m so glad you’re here!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, and I earned my master’s in social work from the University of St. Thomas. I primarily work with older teens (15+) and adults of all ages. My primary expertise is in supporting those who have experienced relational trauma, such as childhood abuse or intimate partner violence. My areas of focus also extend to those navigating major life changes, having difficulty in relationships with others, and experiencing depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

I am originally from Wisconsin but currently live in St. Paul with my husband, daughter, and our dog Winston. I love Netflix documentaries, I’m learning how to garden, and I’m always looking for new crockpot recipes.

I can’t wait to get to know you!

How I Work

I allow you to be in the driver’s seat of your treatment and sessions. Think of me as your GPS. I give space for you to express your unfiltered emotions and thoughts and then provide guidance to help make sense of it.

You can expect us to have a check-in at the start of the session so you can reflect on how you’ve been feeling and I can get an idea of the important topics you want to cover. I’ll then help you navigate through those topics. I value building an authentic relationship, so don’t hesitate to talk about your hobbies, interests, and favorite things. I like to finish each session with a closing ritual to help contain intense emotions in the therapy space.

I work to create a warm and welcoming space. I’m easygoing for the most part, but I don’t shy away from having difficult conversations. I encourage people to challenge themselves and lean into discomfort. I’m calm and grounded, which allows clients to bring their full self to session without fear of judgment.

What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?

I genuinely want to get to know each of my clients as a whole person. I encourage people to share their interests, celebrate the wins, and talk about the hard things when they feel comfortable.
