Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Ancient Studies from Saint Olaf College. I have over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, working in community-based, residential, and school-based care settings. I work with individual adolescents, young adults, and adults around issues of depression, anxiety, shame, perfectionism, trauma, eating disorders. body image, and adjustment challenges.
How I Work
My therapy style is creative, direct, approachable, and focused on you as a whole person. In our work together, we will collaborate on identifying and implementing functional skills to make long-lasting change. We will use a combination of explorative conversation, supportive listening, psychological education, clarifying patterns, and other tools and interventions to find solutions that are the best fit for your personal experience. As you move through this journey of self-discovery, you will find that you feel more connected to your inner self and more fully present in the moment.
What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?
It’s important to me that my clients receive good, comprehensive care in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I work to strike a balance between quiet reflection and engaging conversation during sessions – clients have told me that this helps them find their own answers without feeling alone. I truly love this work and am passionate about helping people. I look forward to working with you!
