Welcome! I am so happy that you are here and congratulations on taking the first step towards healing. My name is Carly and I specialize in complex trauma, perinatal mental health and trauma, and anxious thoughts and tendencies. I obtained my masters degree in Integrated Behavioral Health and have spent time gaining experience in a diverse background of presentations, populations, and treatment modalities. I typically work with adults and young adults, individually, to navigate some of the most transformative years of our lives. I have specific training in EMDR, perinatal mental health, trauma focused CBT, and polyvagal theory, among others.

How I Work

In sessions together, I take a collaborative approach that intends to feel more like a discussion where you can feel heard, understood, and safe. I also understand that vulnerability fatigue can take a lot out of us as humans, so I find it important to take it one step at a time and will always meet you where you are at. You may find that I incorporate humor as it fits in effort to maintain an authentic and human element to our sessions. Lastly, you as the client will always be in the driver’s seat, able to decide how you want each session to go, and I am here to support you in whatever that looks like.

What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?

I try to incorporate a healthy amount of humor and authenticity in sessions in effort to make even the most difficult conversations not feel as scary or heavy. It is important for my clients to know that I will meet them where they are at, and dive in whenever and however they feel ready. There are no “shoulds” or requirements when it comes to what you need to share or how you need to share it. I find that this helps to increase comfort level and decrease the hypervigilance that often comes with trauma histories. It is my goal for you to feel safe and supported, and only then will we begin to explore what’s troubling you.
