Welcome! Thank you for being brave + seeking support! My name is Charmagne (shar-main), and it’s a gift to be a part of the lives and stories of others as a therapist. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from CSB/SJU, and Master’s degree in Counseling + Psychology Services from St. Mary’s University of MN. I have 15 years of experience in the mental health field, working in inpatient, outpatient, and assessment settings with ages 5 and up! I work with individual teens and adults around concerns of anxiety, stress, coping, self-esteem, transitions, depression, and grief and loss. I love foraging, cribbage, and turtles!
How I Work
My therapy style is collaborative, kind, and present. I value authenticity, compassion, embodiment, connection, and community as pathways to healing and greater well-being. You’re the expert on you, and I’m here to help with presence, reflections, and skill building. I want you to feel seen, supported, and challenged in a good way. I believe that thoughts, emotions, and the physical body all want to be included in healing work, and I like to bring mindfulness and somatic tools into sessions. Clients report feeling supported, grounded, and “more human” in our work together. I am inspired by the work of Tara Brach, Dr. Gabor Mate, and Brene Brown.
What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?
I have a knack for helping people put language to their experiences… my previous boss called me “the queen of words.” I am grounded, nurturing, silly, and insatiably curious. Humans are a lot like plants in a garden, and we all have similarities and unique differences in the conditions and types of nourishment we need to thrive! I’ve been a certified yoga teacher since 2009, and have extensive training in herbalism, ayurveda, and astrology. And if this shared language may be helpful to you… I was raised Catholic, have healed my IBS, lived in the PNW, and am amicably divorced.
