Hi, I’m Dana, a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. I work on our telehealth team, providing medication services to those who need or prefer to meet remotely.

I have over 13 years of experience in the field of Psychiatric Nursing, including 7 years in autonomous Advanced Practice. My academic history includes rigorous graduate training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, which has an extensive focus on evidence-based nursing practice. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2013 and have remained committed to lifelong learning including obtaining a Master of Psychopharmacology certification, extensive training & certification from the American Society of Addiction Medicine & my current pursuit of a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. My professional career includes positions at The Meadows Treatment Center in Wickenburg AZ, well known for their Substance Abuse, Eating Disorder & Trauma Informed programs, as well as Genoa Telepsychiatry, an arm of Optum Behavioral Health and a trailblazer in telemedicine care.

How I Work

In a world full of uncertainty, it’s comforting to know there’s somewhere you can go to express your vulnerabilities, fears, and doubts without judgement. Whether we’re talking about your medication questions or your life circumstances, I create a space where you can be fully open and honest. This allows us to have all the necessary information in order to make important decisions about your treatment. I have always considered it an honor and privilege to do this work. It’s a gift to help clients discover how to live their best lives, and it’s amazing to witness the transformative changes people are able to make.

What Sets Me Apart As a Psychiatric Provider?

I’ve been told by my clients that what sets me apart from other psychiatric providers is that I spend a lot of time listening & even more time educating. I also utilize a variety of interventions including recommendations for vitamins/supplements, functional nutrition, massage, acupuncture, meditation, reiki therapy & even good old-fashioned fresh air! With the right intention, ANY activity can be turned into a form of self-care! And, self-care is good for the soul.
