Desiree Falkowski, MS, LPCC

Hey, I’m Desiree, and I’m excited to become your #1 supporter!
I have a BA in Psychology and Statistics and an MS in Clinical Mental Health and Addiction Counseling. I provide individual therapy services to clients 16+ struggling with trauma, substance use, mood and anxiety disorders, or adjusting to change.
I am a person before a therapist, and I show up authentically, empathetic, and informed.
How I Work
I find it most effective to take a collaborative approach, empowering you to make steps toward healing and growth. Sessions with me typically include mindfulness practices, processing trauma, coping with and minimizing triggers, evaluating and improving relationships, prioritizing recovery, and using humor to cope.
My style is relational. I like to form a healthy relationship with you to practice communication and resolution and to establish boundaries for your outside relationships. I tend to be laid-back and allow you to take control and optimize the space as it fits you best.
What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?
I tend to use humor to increase comfort and openness, and I will adjust my directness based on your preferences. I have a library of books that I love to share, and I have seen just about every reality TV show that we could dissect together. I bake almost every Sunday and bring extras to my office.
