Hello! Welcome to the beginning of your healing journey. If you’re here, you’ve taken the first step. I’m an advocate for my clients and will be your biggest supporter. Let’s get started!

I’m a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Minnesota. I received my master’s degree in Mental Health Clinical Counseling from the University of Wisconsin Stout and my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. I’m originally from the cheese state but have found a home here in the Twin Cities! I love horror movies, fall, nature, Fleetwood Mac, my friends/family, and I’ve managed to build a big coffee mug collection. I’m your Type B personality-I do things my own way, and it works for me. . . most of the time!

I work with a diverse population that includes BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and everyone in between. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, life transitions, and identity.

How I Work

The journey to healing and self-discovery is one of strength, courage, curiosity, and recovery. It can also be scary and uncomfortable. I believe therapy is a place for vulnerability to blossom, and I’ll create a place for you to be your 100% authentic self.

Our story is the basis of who we are and how we operate. My approach to therapy creates a safe space to explore the self through one’s experiences and narratives while being met with safety, care, and compassion. I use a combination of modalities and take a holistic approach to therapy. My goal is to help you in the healing and self-discovery process by looking into your values and core beliefs. We’ll investigate the past and connect that to the present. By looking into your timeline, I can help you cope and build a better quality of life.

I’m open, relatable, genuine, direct, supportive, and incredibly passionate about humans and the mental health field. I bring humor and honesty into my sessions. I believe in the therapeutic process and therapeutic relationship. My goal is to collaborate with you and build trust over time so we can peel back the layers and get to the deeper parts.

The work I ask of my clients is the work I’ve done myself. I believe that’s an important part of being a good therapist-being able to do the work ourselves. I’m also very culturally competent and understand we all come from unique backgrounds and experiences. Intersectionality is important in our work, and I’ll always be an advocate for my clients and community.

What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?

I go deep with clients. I’m not afraid of intensity. I love to find the core of a human. I love learning about people’s stories, as they rarely stay in the past. I’m also very real. What you see is what you get. I like genuine humans. I like having good rapport with clients. I’m open to learning and listening to other therapists and their perspectives. We always have room to learn in this field, and I appreciate that!
