Administrative Specialist

keanna@affinitypsych.com

Howdy, y’all! I am an everyday city girl from Dallas, Texas who finds herself on the go being a mom of four kiddos, a wife to a loving husband, and a devoted friend. While being a busy mom, wife, and friend I do spend a lot of my time intentionally watering and speaking to all aspects of my growing life. One way that I do this is by planning a weekend itinerary filled with local farmer’s markets, tasty food trucks, and shopping with small business owners. I am truly creative at heart when it comes to planning a great time e.g., trips, birthdays, and events as I cherish living out new experiences with all those that I know.

How I Work

I love to think that everything we do is a process. For example, our clients here are making a decision to put their mental health first and this makes what we do at Affinity a part of their process and this requires a few steps at a time. One of those first steps after making that decision is coordinating the administrative tasks that are needed for our client’s charts: learning demographics, obtaining insurance info, setting appointment reminders, and a few other emails from me as I, your admin specialist, will be here to help you with all things paperwork and information. So don’t hesitate to hit the reply button on those emails!

What Sets Me Apart

Uniquely, I have had the opportunity to work in almost every area of healthcare throughout my years of working, except for actually becoming the one who is legally responsible for rendering aid according to the Board of Medicine. Although nursing will always be one of my favorite professions, I realized quickly that the many roles that you’ll see before being seen by your clinician or doctor are just as important. Healthcare administration is the nuts and bolts that keep the shelf together as it holds up everything you may need on those yucky days. Working together, our clinicians, physicians, and admin staff all share the same goal and that’s to be here when you need something from that top shelf in life.
