Hi! So glad you are here! I am a clinical social worker who enjoys collaborating with kids, adolescents and adults to use their strengths to meet their current challenges. I earned my master’s from the University of Chicago, Crown School of Social Work, Policy and Practice. As someone who has been a client as well, I know the difference having a supportive therapist can make. I am ready to work together to create a healing space for change and growth.
How I Work
Each time you enter my office, I hope that you feel heard and validated through the questions and activities we engage in together. We will explore the difficulties you are experiencing and where those might be coming from. Then we will set some goals together that will help you feel and function better. From there we will try various ways to work on these issues including talking, art or mindfulness activities.
What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?
I enjoy learning and trying new things in all aspects of life. I will work hard to best understand you and your challenges by truly listening to you and reading more about what is impacting you. Many clients like to keep their hands busy while we talk so I am open to painting, knitting (though you would have to teach me!) or other hobbies too. I am also able to incorporate breath work into sessions (if you are interested!).
