Hello and welcome! I’m Pauline, and I’m excited for you to get to know me a little more.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Psychology from Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa (yes, I’m from Iowa!) and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University in Eagan, Minnesota. I’m trained in the Gottman Method, which is centered on creating a warm and safe space for couples and families to overcome various obstacles. I really enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life to overcome breaches of trust and rebuild relationships in a warm and supportive way.
I work with adults ages 18 to 60 who are facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem concerns, relationship issues, family conflict, divorce, parenting struggles, mood disorders, and life transitions. Together, we’ll work to better understand what’s keeping you stuck while developing practical, realistic strategies that fit your life.
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, feeling stuck in depression, navigating a difficult relationship, adjusting to a major life change, or simply trying to find your footing again, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you’re ready for a space where you can be heard, challenged with compassion, and supported every step of the way, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but you don’t
How I Work
I’m a client-centered therapist, so I will meet you where you are for the day. This is your hour to do what you need to, and you drive the process. I aim to make sure you feel seen, heard, and comfortable. I believe in being transparent and that we all make mistakes. In my work with you, I will encourage you to trust your instincts and foster helpful relationships in your life.
My approach is collaborative and personalized, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, and relationship-focused approaches. I believe lasting change happens when you feel supported, understood, and empowered to take meaningful steps toward the life you want—not because you’re trying to become someone different, but because you’re learning to reconnect with the person you’ve always been.
I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly listens—a place where you can show up exactly as you are without fear of judgment. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable exploring what’s weighing on you, discovering your strengths, and building the tools you need to move forward with confidence.
What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?
Some people say I have a dry sense of humor, and I can be sarcastic at times. I’m passionate about walking alongside my clients in their journey of finding confidence and empowerment through laughter and self-reflection.
