Hello there! I am Teresa Cyrus, a board certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have a Master’s in nursing from St. Joseph’s College of Maine and a Doctorate from St. Catherine University. I work with adults of all ages, but believe my greatest skill, lies in serving older adults. I love learning about new practices, treatments and research in the mental health field. I have a variety of experience in healthcare including rural primary care, teaching nurse practitioner students at the University level and hospice care. I value working closely with my patients and their families to develop a plan that focuses on their unique goals.

How I Work

It is important for me to get to know you and understand what defines you, and your values so we can work together in a way that will help you meet your goals. Medicine is never best practiced by a one size fits all model. We will work together on developing a plan and potential treatments that will work best for you as an individual.

What Sets Me Apart As a Psychiatric Provider?

My work as a nurse practitioner has always been about building relationships. I am interested in knowing you and understanding your unique needs. I have never been interested in seeing “the most” patients, but would much rather know my patients by taking time to build trust and work collaboratively. We are all just human beings doing our best in this world and my hope is to make that a little easier for you.

I live with my family in Minneapolis, and am an avid dog lover with three great danes. However, I am originally from the East coast and will share a fun piece of trivia if you ask me where I was born!
