Hello! My name is Tito Catuncan and I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I graduated with a Masters of Social Work from Augsburg College (currently Augsburg University) in 2015. I work with individual adolescents and adults (especially LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC) undergoing various transitions, exploring gender and sexuality, navigating cultural and intergenerational differences, adapting to life in Minnesota as a transplant, identity exploration, building more secure attachment, setting and enforcing boundaries in relationships, and learning how to cope with anxiety, depression, and complex trauma. As a member of an association of young professionals myself, I also enjoy working with other professionals navigating various challenges, including burnout.
How I Work
I listen to what my clients want to work on, help them identify goals to accomplish what they want to see changed, and provide support and tools to help them on their journey of growth, healing, and reaching their goals. I offer space for clients to share and express themselves when they might not have had the safest places or people to be comfortable to do that with before. I focus on client’s strengths, existing skills and talents, and how to use those to accomplish their therapy goals.
What Sets Me Apart As a Therapist?
In my free time, I enjoy tending to my houseplants, being engaged in community events, and trying out new foods and restaurants. With clients, I enjoy sharing memes to be able to relate to experiences that might be hard to put words around.
