Hello there! I’m Wyatt. I’m so happy you’re taking the step to pursue therapy services.

I earned my Master of Social Work from Augsburg University and my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. I’m also a Board of Social Work approved supervisor.

I bring a high-energy, humorous, and go-with-the-flow style to my work as a therapist. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and seniors who are experiencing difficulty navigating interpersonal relationships, significant life changes, chronic pain, stress, anxiety, burnout, and depression.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our house hippo Janet, playing board games with friends, watching movies, and cooking new recipes. Even when the going gets hard, I watch the Vikings every Sunday. SKOL!

How I Work

I believe it’s vital to ensure you feel safe, seen, heard, and validated. To achieve this, I’ll meet you with nonjudgment, compassion, and authenticity.

Initial sessions consist of discussing important background information, identifying what you’d like to work on, and formulating treatment goals. Moving forward, our sessions will consist of a check-in on goals, and the rest is up to you. I will meet you where you’re at. If you’d like to process stressful emotions or events, great! If you’d like to discuss a new hobby you’re participating in, great! This is your session, and you need to be able to steer it where you need support. In offering that support, I like to use methods such as dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness.

I believe you have the ability to make the changes you would like to make. It’s not a discipline issue or a lack of effort. Sometimes we just need a little bit of help developing tools to meet our goals.
